扑克 Playing the Blinds in Texas Holdem(德州扑克盲注玩法)

In Texas Holdem poker, a blind is known as a forced bet.  The reason that blinds exist is so that there will be money in the pot on every hand. You don’t have a choice whether or not you want to put in your money.

If there were no blinds then people would just wait around and only play their best hands.

In Texas Holdem poker there are two blinds, the big blind and the small blind.  They are placed directly to the left of the dealer button and it goes dealer, small blind, and big blind.

Playing out of the blinds in Texas Holdem is not always an easy thing to do.  Here are some tips that may help you.

1. If a large number of people are in the pot and it only costs you another small bet then you are probably getting good enough pot odds to call the extra bet.  You are out of position though and if you miss the flop you need to get out of the hand. You also don't want to get into playing 2nd bets hands that can lose you a lot of money. You can play your blinds with marginal hands but you really have to be extremely careful after the flop.

2. If no one raises and you are in the small blind you will call just about every hand.  It is just a small bet and you are going to call.

3. It is unlikely you want to re-raise from the big blind because of your poor position unless you have a big hand.

4. If you have a raise in front of you and you are in the big blind or the small blind normally you are going to fold all but the premium Texas Holdem hands.

What you absolutely have to remember about playing the blinds in Texas Holdem is that you don't want to get trapped. Almost every player forgets this when playing Texas Holdem. You are playing hands that very often you would have thrown away in any other position but the blinds.  This leads you into trouble way too many times.

You might catch a piece of the flop and think you have a shot at the pot and continue to throw money down the drain. Playing the blinds is much more difficult than you think. Anytime you call a bet or a raise, you are almost always in a poor position unless your hand is a monster. Always remember that when you play the blinds in Texas Holdem.
